Magnetic safety switches are used on perimeter guarding doors and slide or swing-open shields for drills, mills and other machines. These reed-type magnetic safety switches utilize magnetic actuation. They offer non-contact reliability along with tolerance for misalignment. These magnetic safety switches are totally submersible, which makes them ideal for environments where hygiene is important. Each switch is supplied with a pre-wired 13-foot cable. On presenting the magnetic actuator to the switch, the high intensity field (from the actuator) causes the internal reed-switch safety contact(s) to close. On removing the actuator, the safety contact(s) open.
Kit includes magnetic safety switch and actuator, and 13 feet of prewired cable.
Contact arrangement is with guard door closed, actuator in place.
